love-love

Première in 2025 | Tel Aviv, Israel

Love-Love is a dance theatre duet inspired by the worlds of tennis and war, created as a response to the idea of “absolute victory.” It begins with the paradox of the word “love,” which in tennis means zero but also devotion, transforming it into a physical language of endurance, rivalry, tenderness, and care.

Two performers meet as both opponents and partners, moving between rules and rupture, between game and survival. The court becomes a shifting field where gestures of competition echo strategies of conflict, and simple exchanges accumulate into pressure, persistence, and fatigue. As the duet unfolds, they negotiate the thin line between choice and necessity, realizing they need each other in order to keep playing. Love-Love asks what remains when victory loses its meaning: can devotion exist without reward, and is it possible to survive within systems built to win.
